Metabolic Reset:
Calm Body, Steady Energy
For the woman who is tired of pushing through the afternoon crash, lying awake at 3 a.m., and starting over on yet another plan. Learn to work with your metabolism and your nervous system, not against them.
- Starts Wednesday, Oct 28
- Wednesdays · 7–8:30 pm ET
- Live online · small group
You’re doing “all the right things.” So why do you still feel this way?
- You wake up tired, lean on coffee to get going, and hit a wall by 3 p.m.
- Your mind is racing at night, or you fall asleep fine and wake at 3 a.m.
- You feel wired and exhausted at the same time, and small things feel big.
- Sugar and carb cravings seem to run the show, especially when you’re stressed.
- You’ve tried plan after plan. Each one worked for a little while, and then it didn’t.
- Somewhere along the way you started to wonder if the problem is you.
It isn’t. In midlife, stress, sleep and blood sugar are tightly linked. When your nervous system is stuck on high alert, your body is working to keep you safe, and steady energy is hard to find no matter how disciplined you are.
You don’t need more willpower. You need a body that feels safe enough to settle.
This isn’t another diet. It’s a reset for your whole system.
Food is only one piece. Metabolic Reset weaves together three areas that support each other.
Nourish
Simple, practical food foundations for steadier blood sugar and energy. No calorie counting, no forbidden lists. We start here, so you have something practical from week one.
Settle
Gentle somatic practices drawn from Somatic Experiencing to support your nervous system as it moves out of “on alert” and into rest.
Reconnect
Coaching, mindset support and guided meditations to quiet the inner critic and help you trust your body again.
What we’ll explore together
Each Wednesday builds on the last. Food foundations come first, then we go deeper into stress, sleep and the patterns underneath.
Begin where you are
How stress, sleep and metabolism connect, and your first simple steps toward steadier energy.
Steady blood sugar
Building meals that keep you full and even, to help keep your energy more even through the day.
Nourish, don’t restrict
Protein, fibre and meal rhythm. Adding in, rather than cutting out.
Your stress response
Understanding your nervous system and learning somatic tools you can use anywhere.
Rest and sleep
Evening rhythms and practices that support deeper, more restorative sleep.
Movement that calms
Moving in a way that builds energy instead of draining it.
Beyond the diet mindset
Loosening the grip of old rules, self-criticism and “starting over on Monday.”
Your steady path forward
Bringing it all together into a personal plan you can carry into the new year.
What you’ll receive
This group was made for you if…
This is a fit if you:
- Are a woman in your 40s or 50s feeling tired, stressed or unsettled
- Are done with restrictive diets and want something kinder that lasts
- Are curious about how your nervous system affects your energy and sleep
- Would like support and company, not another thing to do alone
- Can join most Wednesday evenings (recordings help when you can’t)
It may not be the right fit if you:
- Are looking for a rapid weight-loss plan
- Need individual medical assessment or treatment right now
- Aren’t ready to try a few small changes over eight weeks

Hi, I’m Dr. Jada MacLeod, ND
For 17 years I’ve sat with women who were doing everything they’d been told, and still felt exhausted, anxious and stuck. What I’ve seen again and again is that food matters, and so does the state of the nervous system underneath it.
I created Metabolic Reset to bring together what I do in my clinic, naturopathic nutrition, Somatic Experiencing and guided meditation, in a warm, practical group setting.
I’m also a woman in midlife. I know this season, and I’d love to walk through it with you.

Frequently asked
Is this a weight-loss program?
No. The focus is steadier energy, calmer stress responses and better sleep. We don’t count calories, weigh ourselves or cut out food groups.
What if I miss a Wednesday?
Every session is recorded and shared afterward, so you can catch up whenever it suits you.
How much time will this take each week?
The 90-minute live session plus about 10–15 minutes a day for small practices. It’s designed to fit a full life.
Do I need to change my whole diet?
No. We start with a few simple, practical shifts and build gently from there. Nothing extreme.
What is Somatic Experiencing?
A body-based approach designed to help the nervous system release stress and return to a more settled state. In the group, you’ll learn gentle practices you can use on your own.
Will I need to share personal things in the group?
Only what you’re comfortable with. You’re welcome to listen, and cameras are optional.
Is this a replacement for individual care?
No. This is an educational group program. If you have a health condition or take medication, please talk to your healthcare provider before making changes. If you’d like individualized care, one-on-one visits are available at Healing House.
